Recognizing the need for Orthodox literature and lack of availability in the Melbourne area, Father George Zervos proposed Saint Katherine Bookstore in 1991. Father Zervos wanted parishioners to have access to Orthodox icons, publications, incense, charcoal, etc.
Father Zervos appointed Kathy Kovacs as the first curator of Saint Katherine Bookstore.
She was later replaced by Venus Peters assisted by Angie Varounis. With the help
of Philoptochos, which sponsored the first $500, the Bookstore became a reality.

Hours of Operation
The Bookstore is located at the Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church Community Center and is open every Sunday after the Divine Liturgy.
